Mason Resnick hands-on with the K7 - a System Changer? (updated)

Mason Reznor and Jack Howard of the Adorama Learning Center spent two exciting hours with the K7. They have pictures of the camera and camera-menus. We rarely reveal conclusions here, but in this case, the preliminary conclusions themselves are news-worthy in their own right because they are made by two people who have touched and used the camera, not by Pentaxian Dreamers and FanBoys or Spec-Sheet Analyzers:

"... the Pentax K-7 makes a compelling case for owners of other brand cameras to change systems ..."

They have also posted a few pre-production sample pictures taken with the K7 and the 10-17mm fisheye. The samples are blog-sized, probably because the camera has pre-production firmware.

One more K7 thing, we can't figure out whether this Pocket Lint post is a spec-sheet rehash or a "hands on" first-look of the K7. You decide and deride :)

Wired "review"
Via the Imaging Insider, we learn that Wired has posted their "review" of the K7. I use quotes because I could have written exactly what they had written using the press release and the "Dharma Initiative" YouTube video, without even knowing anything else about the camera. So now Pocket Lint has company in getting picked on for writing spec-sheet reviews/first-looks :-) [meow!]
