Phase One P65+ reviewed by PDN Gear Guide (yes, a medium format review!)
You don't see this type of a headline often. A 60-megapixel medium format digital system getting reviewed in the photo-blogo-sphere! Dan Havlik and the PDN Gear crew had a chance to test out the camera both in-studio and outdoors, and they have posted their findings on the P65+. Please note that this is an experiential photographer's type of review, it is not a 40-page technical pixel-peepiential review.
As always, we won't reveal the conclusions here! On a related note, put yourself in the shoes of a reviewer, it will hit you even more: how do you evaluate a 60-megapixel camera system that costs $40,000, versus the field of existing digital medium format and high-end 35mm DSLRs?
You won't find this camera at your neighborhood electronics super-store, but you can find a dozen different configurations of it at Calumet Photo. Simply search for "Phase One P65+" on their site, and all the configurations will magically appear before you :)
