New Kodak Easyshare M420 P&S starts at 28mm wide in Europe
Buried underneath the excitement of the last few hours, there is a new Kodak camera announced in some parts of the world. It is the new Kodak Easyshare M420 (insert number pun here), with a 10-megapixel 1/2.3" sensor and a 4x Schneider-branded optical zoom lens that starts at 28mm wide. The camera also has a 3" LCD and will start at around 180 euro and be available in multiple colorful body colors. It uses SD/SDHC and comes with a LiIon battery.
This follows-up on the previous wave of M-series cameras that was announced at CES 2009. We do not know if this camera will arrive to the US market at a later point.
The camera has been added to the list of new cameras in 2009 and according to our calculations, it is new camera #111 announced in 2009 from the major manufacturers tracked on that page (see bottom of that page for the complete list).
