Pentax DA 15mm f4 Limited reviewed by dpreview (ouch?)

Share/Save/Bookmark

While Pentaxians are caught in the frenzy of the Pentax K7D rumoralia, there is something more concrete to bite on: The dpreview review of the Pentax DA 15mm f4 limited lens. This is a made-for-DSLR lens which gives roughly the "equivalent" of 22mm when mounted on the currently available Pentax DSLRs.

This is a beautiful little lens, but beautiful and wide-angle lens-designs do not always go hand-in-hand. So does that mean some OIQ issues? Well, we can speculate, or you can read the conclusions if you are in a hurry!

Needless to say, the review has sparked a round of debates at the dpreview Pentax forum and the Pentaxforums forum.

You can also check out some recent real-world pictures taken with the lens at Yvon's Pentax blog.

The best in-stock price we found among the reputable retailers we track on a regular basis is $600 plus shipping at B&H Photo.
