Canon SX200is reviews catch-up-a-thon

We will have a proper "review cluster" for the SX200is later this week, but for now, here are some of its latest reviews that we haven't mentioned yet, starting with the most recent one, at Camera Labs, which includes a lot of ISO comparisons and crops, along with real-world sample images, and their verdict (conclusions) along with executive-comparisons with its closest rivals.

We still haven't found any website that has managed to use numeric evaluations of cameras in a practical manner. For example, 15 out of 20 doesn't really tell me much, unless I have a good grasp of the "universe" of all these numbers. Of course if there was an easy way to come up with something like that, someone would have figured it out by now :-) But let's not digress too much. Back to the reviews!

A relatively short review of the camera was posted last week at Register Hardware, and at about the same time, Let us Go Digital posted sample pictures.

Price-wise, the camera is slowly starting to chip away at the $350 starting price, the black model is in-stock and shipping at Amazon, by Amazon herself for $345 with free shipping and handlings (sic).
