New 33-megapixel Mamiya DL33 medium format camera
Hot on the heels of the "affordable" DL28 which was announced in October 2008, Mamiya is now introducing the new DL33, which jumps from 28-megapixels to 33-megapixels.
Key Mamiya DL33 specs
+ 7 micron pixels with its 48x36mm sensor, twice that of traditional 35mm full-frame
+ integration of the Mamiya 645AFD III camera system and Leaf Aptus-II 7 digital back
+ 16-bit capture
+ 12-stop dynamic range
+ ISO 50 to 800
+ 67MB RAW files
+ Compactflash, Firewire
The DL33 is estimated to be released in April 2009 and has a MAP (minimum advertised price) price of $20,000. And to sweeten the deal, for the months of March and April Mamiya is offering (via coupon) your choice of the AF 55mm f2.8 or AF 150mm f3.5 lens. You can have one or the other, but not both lenses for free.
For comparison, the current model, the 28-megapixel DL28 bundled with the 80mm f2.8D lens is available for $15,000 at B&H Photo and elsehwhere.
