Impact review: Panasonic FT1 (TS1) at Photo Review

We have another impact review, the first full review of the Panasonic FT1 (TS1), complete with Imatest and other measureables by Photo Review.

We won't spoil the findings, but as a teaser, the results may surprise you, considering that this is a folded-optics first-generation digital camera from Panasonic. Photo Review has a very handy buy/dont-buy segment to help frame their findings in a more practical way. In our opinion, this is much more helpful than numeric scores or stars or one-word catch-all recommendations.

The FT1 was announced in January 2009. We encourage everyone to use the organic name for the camera (FT1) and to complain to Panasonic and ask them to stop creating global naming confusion by giving their cameras different names. The spin stops here!
