New Samsung ES10 is the definition of entry-level

Samsung must be feeling insecure because Olympus announced more models this year ;-) So without further ado, they announced the Samsung ES10 in some markets. The camera has a modest 8mp 1/2.5" sensor, a typical 3x optical zoom lens (38-114mm eq), 2.5" LCD, SD/SDHC, and AA batteries. Essentially your typical P&S battery. Which makes us w(o/a)nder why we even bother with all these clone-cams!

This is the eighth new Samsung camera in 2009, tying Nikon for the #2 spot after Nikon barfed an 8-pack. Olympus of course is our fearless leader in 2009, with 13 new cameras announced so far. 13 out of 61 is a lot! Olympus gone-wild!
