Sixteen new digital cameras in the last 12 hours!

For those who are just checking this blog, all apologies for the mess! There have been sixteen (16) new digital camera models announced in the last 12 hours from three different manufacturers. Eight from Sony, five from Fuji and three from Samsung. Yes, digital camera fans, we have almost 80 new models from the major manufacturers in 2009. Of all these, there are ZERO DSLRs, and ten superzooms. Only a couple of all these support RAW natively. Yikes!

Of the sixteen new models of today, here is what stands out:
+ Two superzooms, Sony H20 funzoom and Fuji S1500fd which adds image stabilization
+ New affordable waterproof camera - the Fuji Z33wp
+ Two new wide-angle Cybeshot W-series, the Sony W290 and W270
+ Two new wide-angle Samsung SL-series, the SL820 (IT100) and SL620 (PL65)
