R&D Talk: Would fingerprint sensors make sense in cameras?
We just read of a new 5mp waterproof camera-cellphone in Japan using a fingerprint-sensor (via DC-Views), so this raises the obvious question: Would fingerprint-sensors make sense for digital cameras? Not necessarily the consumer-level digital cameras, but how about the more expensive and advanced digital cameras? It could prevent nosy people (friends, relatives, co-workers) from digging into your bag and "playing" with your expensive camera :-) Or perhaps discourage thieves and make it harder for them to resell them if they are fingerprint-locked? What do you think?
