New Sanyo Xacti hybrid camera/camcorders flooding the market today
As hinted earlier, today Sanyo unveiled five new hybrid camera-camcorders that support HD video recording and are available in multiple deliciously fashionable colors ;-)
Sanyo DMX-HD2000 and DMX-FH11
These two models are rather similar, one is vertical, the other is horizontal. Their claim to fame is 1080p video recording (60fps), with an 8mp 1/2.5" CMOS sensor, and a 16X (yes, sixteen times) optical zoom lens that goes 44-710mm in 35mm equivalency.
Sanyo DMX-CG10
Sanyo gets its own G10 :-) This uses a 10mp 1/2.33" CMOS sensor, with a 40-200mm equivalent 5x optical zoom lens, and a 3" LCD. Video recording is 720p (30fps).
Sanyo DMX-CA9
This is the typical-looking Sanyo hybrid with the usual flip-out 2.5" LCD, but it can also go up to 1.5 meters underwater. Yep, it is waterproof. It has a 9-megapixel 1/2.5" CMOS sensor, with the typical 5x optical zoom lens (38-190mm). Will be released in mid-March.
Sanyo DMX-WH1
This is more of a traditional camcorder, but it can go up to 3 meters underwater and record. It has a 30X optical zoom lens (not atypical of camcorders) going from 43-1290mm.
