New Panasonic TZ6 (aka ZS1) grows a 12X zoom lens!
As expected, and as we spotted earlier on, the next Panasonic fun-zoom duo would be the TZ6 and TZ7!
And they are now becoming real! Focus Numerique discusses the new Panasonic TZ6, which has 10mp 1/2.5" sensor and a 12X optical zoom Leica-branded lens (with MegaOIS image stabilization of course) that expands from 25mm to 300mm, as opposed to 28-280mm of the previous TZ-series models. Perhaps this is in-response to the 24-240mm Samsung HZ10w.
The display is 2.7" (230K). The camera is available for pre-order at Amazon for $330 and it is available in black or silver.
Interestingly, the TZ6 (ZS1) has not been announced in Japan just yet. Or it may never get announced in Japan. We do not. Panasonic may know :)
