The "Support your Local Camera Store Initiative 2.0"

Some of our regular readers may remember the "Support your Local Camera Shop" initiative at the Orange blog in December 2007. Now, a year later, it is time to launch version 2.0 of the Initiative, in a more stylish and auto-organized fashion. Check out the New Support your Local Camera Shop initiative at our organized NetVibes page. The camera stores are listed roughly in the order in which they were submitted to the original post. Thumbnails are created automatically by NetVibes. In some cases, it may take a few hours before they appear.

If you have a camera store and would like to be added to the list, simply send an email. This is an on-going project, there is no deadline for submissions. Please note that only local camera shops with physical locations open to the general public will be added.

Of the 30+ shops that were listed in our December 2007 listing, only two of them appear to have closed their doors. Considering the state of the world economy, this is a promising number, especially if it stays put.
