SuperZoom Wars Heat-up for good
The SuperZoom wars are no longer a Canon-vs-Panasonic duel! Both Nikon and Sony are now in the Top 25 and mixing things up! The Nikon P80 with a very tempting price of $250 is now just one position away from the SX10is, which leads all the hyperzooms. Just one spot away and $90 less in price.
Sony is joining the party with the Cybershot H50 returning to #25 and overtaking the Panasonic FZ28K which jumped up (!) in price and is now down to #33, with the lower priced silver model jumping up to #35.
Also up in price is the TZ5K, and that lets the SX110is duo dominate at $200 even.
The LX3K makes things interesting
As we mentioned before, once the Panasonic LX3K remained in-stock for a period of time, it could mount a challenge to the Canon G10. And it sure has! The LX3K is now at #17 with the G10 at #6. Their price is similar, with the LX3 at $400 and the G10 at $410. Oh my!
Price is King (yet again)
It is quite interesting to see the low priced cameras being very sensitive to price changes. A $10 price change for a $100-ish camera is enough to send it to a tailspin if it goes up, or a big hike if it goes down. Case in point, major drops for the silver Kodak C813 and Canon SD770is black, and a big jump for the Canon SD790is.
