Review Train (5DMkII spotlight, 50D, Tz50, EX-F1, etc)
Welcome to yet another edition of the Review Train, with a new wave of reviews from the review-o-sphere.
Spotlight: Canon 5D Mark II
As the Mark II becomes more generally available, more first impressions and reviews are springing up! Case in point, a first-impressions report at Ask the Photographer by freelance photographer Jeff Lewis. Included is a sample video and sample full-size picture.
Lawrence Ripsher continues his on-going review with part #3 and part #4.
We already mentioned this in mid-December in the "Diary", but for those who don't check out there diary, here is a critically acclaimed comparative-review of the 5DMk2 vs Mk1 by photographer-author Ben Long.
More Reviews
This is a review we missed when it come out, but we finally "found it". Bob Atkins and Hannah Thiem had posted a review of the Canon 50D at Photo.net. This came a bit after Bob Atkins posted his own review at his own website.
If you like bite-size reviews, be sure to check out what Tech Radar had to say about the Panasonic G1. This is a quick review, so don't brew a full pot of coffee :)
The TZ5 has been getting a lot of love, but its wireless cousin, the TZ50 has been flying under the radar. Info Sync World however has posted their review, so if you are interested in this camera, be sure to check it out!
And another on-going review at DVinfo, we now see part #3 of their Casio EX-F1 review. EX-F1 is of course of interest to video fans because of its video and high-speed capabilities.
