Discover New Sites and blogs (Photoshop, Diversity, Panoramas, Travel, New Media)

Welcome to a new edition of Discover New Sites and Blogs, where we spotlight sites and blogs that may be new to you, or new to me, be they 10 days or 10 years old.

We have a six-pack for you today, starting with a brand new AllTop from Team Kawasaki, covering all things Photoshop. Check out the Photoshop AllTop. AllTop is a collection of headlines from a number of different websites and blogs on a large number of topics. The Photoshop category includes Kelby's Insider, Nack on Adobe, Photoshop Disasters and a lot more. A total of 22 websites there.

Next up, we have a great blog that intersects photography, history and diversity. We are talking about the excellent Dodge and Burn blog by Qiana Mestrich, featuring diversity in photography and photographers.

Didn't you just wish there was a site that specialized in panoramas? And didn't you just wish Digg had a special panorama category? Well, what do you know, there is a website that blends both in one - meet Panodigg.com, a digg-like website for panoramas and panoramas only!

This is I believe the first website we "discovered" via Twitter, which begs for a future special edition, "Twitter Discoveries". But for now, enjoy this travel blog, Everything Everywhere by Gary Arndt. Gary has been traveling the world since March 2007 with his camera, laptop and bare essentials. We don't know what camera he is using, but his latest picture is from Nikko, Japan :-)

It feels like there's a new new-media outlet springing up every 5 milliseconds. From Web 2.0, to Web 3.0, to hybrids and anything in-between. How do you keep track of it all, and more importantly, how can all these be helpful to the 21st century photographer? A great place to find out is the New Media Photographer blog! and if you don't feel like reading, fear not, they have 29+ podcasts ready for you to listen! Podcasts are also available as mp3 so you can load up your music player and listen to them whenever you are ready!

And we close this edition with a photographer's blog, featuring a wide variety of topics. Meet the G Dan Mitchell photography blog, where you will find discussions on photography, equipment, but also plenty of pictures with descriptions, which is a great way to learn new approaches or get inspired and go out and shoot more than just test charts :-)
