Top selling cameras for September 2008 (NPD group)

The Pop Photo website has posted the top selling cameras of Sept 2008, according to data provided by the market research firm NPD. They provide the top five DSLRs and top five fixed lens digital cameras.

We do not know what methodology the NPD Group uses to come up with the numbers, but none-the-less they are interesting. We love numbers :-)

Please note that the Camera Charts blog is using a series of snapshots of weighted-average data strung together to point out trends and momentum. It is not measuring camera unit sales. However, we have been following this for many years, and it is a pretty good indicator.
