Sigma buys Foveon (the company, the sensor, everything!)

As we mentioned earlier today, there was an "important announcement" coming from Sigma Japan. And as Image Sensors World rumored on Friday, the big news is indeed that Sigma is buying the Foveon sensor. Foveon will remain physically where it is right now in the Silicon Valley, giving Sigma high-tech real-estate and geek-cred at the same time.
