Review Train (Olympus E520, 50D, D90, EX-FH20, superzooms, etc)

Share/Save/Bookmark

Welcome to a new edition of the Review Train! More reviews have been published, so let's take a look!

Interchangeable Lens Cameras
TWIP Photo has posted their long term findings after using the D3 for a while, and presenting this from the perspective of a wildlife photographer. Find out what they found out.

Photography Review has posted their findings on the semi-adorable Olympus E520, which does have sensor-shift stabilization, unlike the smaller and more adorable E420.

And now back to back rival reviews. First, the Nikon D90 getting reviewed by Think Camera, and then the Canon 50D getting reviewed by Bob Atkins.

Gizmodo, the gadget blog, has published their gadget-blog-review of the Panasonic G1. Full resolution out-of-camera samples are available as well. And speaking of samples, Photography Blog posted G1 samples earlier today.

What is more rare? A BigFoot sighting or a Samsung DSLR review? Well, how many of you have seen a BigFoot today? Because today there is a Samsung GX-20 review at e-photo-zine. An easy-to-read and breezy review for the speed-readers.

For lots more DSLR reviews, be sure to visit and bookmark the DSLR Review Organizer.

SuperZoom Reviews
ephotozine has been productive lately, and they just posted two superzoom reviews, first up the Kodak Z8612 IS, which is a step below the top Kodak superzoom line (Z1015, Z1012, Z812, Z712, etc). And for those who want more, including RAW, they have reviewed the Panasonic FZ28.

Meanwhile, Photography Blog has posted their findings on the Casio Ex-FH20. This is the "deputy" to the internet-forgotten Casio EX-F1. Luckily Casio has "re-discovered" internet sales for this model, so you can buy it online. However, the FH20 is closer to the other 20X superzooms and further away from the EX-F1, so keep that in mind.

Compact Cameras
Sony's more affordable T-series model, the T77, has been reviewed by Camera Labs. No spoilers, but in CameraLabs tradition, the camera is compared to some of its closest rivals, in this case, the FX35 and SD880-IS.

For more, past, present and future, be sure to check the Reviews mini-blog.
