New Laforet video with the Canon 5D Mark II
The anticipation is rising as the cameras are traveling across the universe and heading towards retail locations!
Adding fuel to the fire is a brand new video from Vincent Laforet, the guy who brought us the ground-breaking "Reverie" video. He's had seven days of shooting with the MarkII, and he's sharing more of his findings!

Ordering the Ordering Chaos?
Don't get too excited just yet, says the Adorama AIRC, initial supplies of the 5D Mark II will be limited, and retailers will be shipping on a first-come first-served basis.
For example, if a retailer receives X units from Canon, but there are 5X pre-orders pending, the first X photographers will have their camera shipped, but the status of the camera on the retailer's website will still be "accepting orders" or "order now will ship when we get more" because they will still have a backlog to fill before having enough units to satisfy newer orders. (The X and 5X numbers are only for illustration purposes, not actual numbers).
To celebrate the launch of the MarkII, we just launched the Shipping and Pre-Order tracker where we track the camera's status at some of the major internet retailers. As of this moment, none of the retailers we track are shipping. Obviously we can't track them all.
