The email directs us to check the english-speaking Sigma Japan website.

So what could this be? Is it perhaps what Image Sensors World mentioned as a rumor a couple of days ago, namely that Sigma has bought Foveon? The rumor is vigorously discussed in the dpreview Sigma forum.
