Status update: Intermittent slowdown issues

All apologies for the temporary outage. It looks like there are some intermittent loading time issues with TypePad. In case of future short-term outages, you can check for updates at our Twitter page. To inoculate against outages, you can also  subscribe to the full-text feed. Newsreaders cache the latest posts, so you can read them there if the main blog is having an outage or a slowdown.
