One month of the new Green blog (how to make the most of this blog)
Yes camera fans, it's been one month since we started this new "green" blog. With Photokina in-between, it certainly feels like two or three months have passed. This post recaps the first 30 days and has some tips on how to make the most of this blog. If you have any friend photographers, please feel free to show them this post to get them hooked :-)
Reference Material
- All the new cameras announced in 2008, broken down in many different categories, including interchangeable lens cameras, superzooms, wides, rawsumers, "larger" sensors, AA-based and LiIon-based.
- A big table/list of all the current and recent digital camera models. With so many of them out there, this is a great way to sort them model names out.
- You can check a list of all the posts made each month, and all the posts by specific category in the Archives and Categories page.
- The Photokina Situation Room, with the major announcements and rumors.
- Tracking the pre-order status of some of the hottest new Photokina-era cameras
How to make the most of this blog
- You can use the Search Box in the top left corner to search not just this blog, but also the "old blog", the RAWsumer blog, and the other special-purpose blogs of the Noisy Network.
- You can check the new product announcements at the News page and rumors at the Rumors page.
- If you are interested in a particular brand, you can check all the posts focusing on that brand by visiting the Categories page or simply adding your favorite brand to the blog's url, for example, www.1001noisycameras.com/nikon, www.1001noisycameras.com/canon, etc, etc. It's very easy to remember, and you can take advantage of the browser's auto-complete, so you only need to type the brand name, such as pentax, olympus, micro43rds, fuji, sony, etc.
- Don't miss any new posts! Read the latest updates using your favorite newsreader, online, desktop or mobile.
