Now shipping: Canon 18-200 EF-S IS lens

Canon's eagerly anticipated superzoom lens is now starting to ship at Adorama for $700. The 18-200 EF-S IS was something Canon EF-S fans had been waiting for a while now. This matches up with the Nikon 18-200 DX VR lens on many dimensions, including price.

When mounted on a Canon-mount EF-S (APS-C) dSLR, then you get the 35mm equivalent focal length (field of view crop, etc, etc) of roughly 28-300mm. To get the actual number, multiply 18-200mm by 1.58x. We'll leave the math to you :-)
