Canon 5D Mark II Mania: J&R World runs out of ...email notifications
It looks like the high-def video option and three years of pent up demand after the original 5D may have been the tipping point that is causing the 5d Mark II to go viral. J&R World's email in-stock notification list is punting, presumably because interest is far exceeding potential supply. But not just that, the camera has been removed from the J&R World website!
Adorama has done a similar thing, they are redirecting people to the original 5D Mark I.
The email notification list gets full at B&H Photo when a new buzzworthy camera is listed there, but from what I recall, this is the first time J&R World has "run out" of in-stock email notifications. Yet another sign of 5D Mark II Beatle-mania. Perhaps Canon is making up for lost "buzz" to the D3/D300 and then D700.
