Canada trades Guns for Cameras

The Megapixel blog has a very interesting story, the critically acclaimed Henry's store in Toronto, Canada, in co-operation with the authorities, is running a program that allows Toronto residents to trade guns for digital cameras.

But don't get too excited, you are not getting a brand new Canon 1Ds Mark III :) The cameras offered for this promotion are the Nikon Coolpix P60 or the Coolpix S52. Why have a clearance sale, when you write them off at MSRP? :-)

On a totally unrelated note, the NRA is starting a new "Cameras for Guns" trade-in campaign ;-)
