New Samsung HZ1 superzoom goes 24-240mm

Samsung's plan for digital camera world domination wouldn't be complete without a superzoom digital camera. And here comes the superzoom! German site Photoscala reveals the new Samsung HZ1, which has a 10X superzoom lens, but with a bonus, it starts at 24mm wide, which is a boost for fans of wide angle.

Considering the large variety of superzooms - over 40 of them announced this year alone - the HZ1 takes the Panasonic TZ5 and makes it wider, by starting at 24mm.

The camera has the typical sensor du jour of 2008, the 10mp 1/2.33", with some form of image stabilization, 30fps 720p video, 2.7" LCD, and such.
