As the Nikon D700 world turns
The Nikon D700 has received two reviews and a field report in the last few days, first by Photography Blog, and another by Reid Reviews. Reid Reviews of course is following the subscription model, so only paying members of the website can read their reviews.
The field report comes from the Photo Business forum, with crops showing EXIF data for those who like to analyze.
On the price front, the D700 is discounted by almost a price-stop ($100) in some stores, but considering the starting price of $3000, it is less than a 3% discount. Is it an organic discount or adjustments in preparation for the new Sony and Canon 35mm full frame dSLRs? Earlier today, it was noted that A900 price in China will be around $2900 using the current exchange rate.
Some reputable dealers with the discount include Adorama and Amazon offering it for $2925 and $2918 respectively.
