17-megapixel Pentax DSLR or upscaled file?

There is a buzz in the Pentaxian world as some people have discovered a 17-megapixel sample image at the official Pentax website.

So the big question is, is this an upsized version of a smaller image or is this coming out of a 17-megapixel DSLR by Pentax/Samsung?

And in a related thread, also at the PentaxForums, there is an 8-page thread discussing Pentax rumors/speculation.

Meanwhile Rice High notes that K20D prices are dropping in Hong Kong. More on this in the PentaxForums forum.
